Horror Movie Poster Ideas for a Halloween Film Corner

A vintage projector sends a bright beam through a dark room.

A Halloween film corner does not need to take over the living room. A small group of horror movie posters can give the space around your film shelf, sideboard or viewing area its own character. Choose one image to lead, then decide how much color and contrast you want around it.

Here are three approaches using posters from our collection. Each can work as a seasonal arrangement or stay up as part of a year-round cinema display.

Start with Halloween's black and orange

The Halloween — Knife and Pumpkin poster gives you a direct starting palette: an orange pumpkin-and-knife motif surrounded by black, with large title lettering above it. Try it beside a dark stack of film cases or against a pale wall where the artwork's edges remain easy to see.

This Photo Paper print is available in 21 × 29.7, 30 × 40, 50 × 70, 70 × 100 and 100 × 140 cm. For a compact display, start with the two smaller sizes. Measure the intended space and check your selected size and framing options on the product page.

For a simple October arrangement, repeat the orange in one nearby object and leave the rest of the shelf relatively quiet. The poster can supply most of the visual detail without competing with a large collection of decorations.

Use Alien for a darker science-fiction mood

If you prefer a more restrained palette, consider the Alien — Glowing Egg poster. Its small area of green light against a dark background gives the display a concentrated accent. Place it where you can see that contrast clearly from your usual seat.

This Photo Paper design is offered in the same five sizes: 21 × 29.7, 30 × 40, 50 × 70, 70 × 100 and 100 × 140 cm. A larger Alien print could lead the arrangement, with a smaller Halloween poster nearby. Test your chosen sizes with paper templates before ordering.

Choose an unframed print or a black wood frame, with optional white passepartout. The displayed price includes all selected options. If you plan to use a passepartout or frame, include its outer dimensions when working out the full width of the display.

Add 28 Days Later when you want more color

The 28 Days Later — Red Eyes poster brings an orange-red field, looming dark eyes and a small walking figure. Next to Halloween's largely black background, it creates a more energetic pairing than a group built entirely from dark artwork.

It comes on Photo Paper in 21 × 29.7, 30 × 40, 50 × 70, 70 × 100 and 100 × 140 cm. These size choices match the Halloween design, so you can plan a pair with matching print dimensions. Check the selected sizes, passepartout and frame dimensions before setting the spacing.

Give the display a clear arrangement

For two equal-sized prints, try a shared top edge and a consistent gap. For three different sizes, position the largest template first and group the smaller two beside it. Look at the arrangement from the doorway as well as close up; you should be able to identify the main image without every poster competing for attention.

Before movie night, check the display under the lighting you actually use. Shift a lamp or the planned frame position if reflections obscure the artwork. Keep the space immediately around the screen as calm as you prefer, and let the poster corner set the mood before the film begins.
