Two Totoro Posters, Two Different Moods

Sunlight falls across a small wooden bridge surrounded by deep green woodland.

A Totoro poster can bring a cheerful patch of color to a small corner or give a larger wall a darker, more atmospheric focus. Our Blue Sky Meadow and Dark Bus Stop designs share a film, but their palettes and lettering create very different displays.

Choose the picture you connect with first. Both designs are Photo Paper prints with the same five size choices, so you can choose the image for its mood and the size for your space.

Blue Sky Meadow: color for a smaller corner

The Blue Sky Meadow Totoro poster places Totoro and two children among vivid green grasses beneath a blue sky. Large yellow Italian title lettering fills the upper part of the artwork. That lettering is part of this specific design, so look closely at the product image if the language of a poster matters to you.

Try it beside a reading chair, above a compact desk or near a shelf of favorite books. A pale wall gives the blue and green room to stand out; repeating a little yellow elsewhere in the display can connect the poster to the rest of the room.

This Photo Paper design is offered in 21 × 29.7, 30 × 40, 50 × 70, 70 × 100 and 100 × 140 cm. Try 21 × 29.7 or 30 × 40 cm for a personal accent, or compare the larger sizes when you want a wall centerpiece. Match your frame to the selected print or passepartout dimensions.

Dark Bus Stop: a stronger focal point

The Dark Bus Stop Totoro poster has a dark leafy setting, bright Japanese lettering and figures gathered beside the bus stop. The contrast between the dark background and vivid accents gives this version a different visual weight from the open blue sky of the meadow image.

Try it on a wall where it can stand on its own. Keep nearby objects simple at first, then add one or two colors drawn from the artwork. If your room already contains several detailed prints, compare the bus-stop image with them before deciding whether it should join the group or have a separate space.

This version is also a Photo Paper print, available in 21 × 29.7, 30 × 40, 50 × 70, 70 × 100 and 100 × 140 cm. Its size choices match the meadow design, so compare the two artworks at the same dimensions when planning your wall.

Which one fits your plan?

  • For a compact display: test either design in 21 × 29.7 or 30 × 40 cm.
  • For a dark, dramatic focal point: compare the bus-stop design against your wall color and nearby furniture.
  • For a paper print: both designs use Photo Paper; choose the image and size that suit your display.
  • For a gift: check the recipient's available space and preferred artwork language as well as their love of the film.

Choose an unframed print or a black wood frame, with optional white passepartout, from the options on each product page. The displayed price includes all selected options. Allow for the outer dimensions of your chosen passepartout and frame when planning the display.

Let the artwork set the mood

You do not need a room full of matching merchandise to make a film poster feel at home. One image, a considered position and a little space around it can be enough. Browse the full poster collection if you want a companion piece, choosing it for a shared color or atmosphere rather than matching every detail.
